Saturday
Listening to the patter of rain
as it falls on everything outside
and as it trickles away.
Listening to you moan softly.
Feeling your warm skin
against mine and feeling you breathe
as we talk, laugh, kiss, gasp
and live our lives under the warm, smooth cottony sheets.
Warm bodies sliding
against one another under the sheets.
Muffled laughter and giggles
as joints and arms bang up together
and your warm thighs wrapped around my leg.
Telling lies under the covers
and the warm, pillowy duvet under
an intensely snuggly blanket.
Grasping the smooth curves of your hip
and watching you close your eyes
and as you bite your lip
I explore your flanks and your round, freckled shoulders.
Your soft hands hold my head
and we stare intently into each others eyes.
You caress the warm, rough face
and then turn around to whip open the covers
to let some air in
my hands slide down to your back
and you can feel them around your waist
as I smell your neck and your arms.
Softly gasping and moaning
you can feel me pressed against you
and you cannot believe that you are wanting to let go
and give in to your urges.
But it is early on the Saturday
and the sheets feel so smooth on your warm, white skin.
We crawl up, sit up
and I read you a story in bed
as you rest your head on my chest and feel me breathe.
My chest rising and falling
as you listen to my voice reading
and my heart responding beneath.
Stereophonic love.
All I can see
is a mop of short brown hair
in soft curls
and I wonder if you are happy or content.
I pause to look at you
and try to imagine what you are thinking about
and can only see you staring into eternity at the foot of the bed
where the covers are entwined.
I kiss your head through your hair
and your hand travels arcoss my chest
and rests over my heart.
Your fingers play on my chest
and brush against my nipple
bolts of pleasure fires through my body
and you feel me moan
and my breath quickening.
the reading slows in-between gasps
as your fingers lightly tease
Your thighs shift and pin one of my legs
and you look up and smile.
